¿Want to be famoso? Announcing the Muévete Video Contest!
Does your niño like to dance? Mister Felipe wants to make a video for the song Muévete, which is all about bailando--dancing. When we were in the studio recording the song, los niños en el coro couldn't keep from bailando--¡El ritmo reggaetón es contagioso!
Here's your chance to be famoso: take a video of your child dancing to Muévete, and send Mister Felipe un email ( click aquí) about it. Send your entry by el 15 de julio del 2009, and Mister Felipe will select the best moments to put together into the official music video for Muévete. The video will be posted on YouTube, with credit given to all the bailadores, and each winner will receive a personally signed copy of "Cruzando el Border"!
Los detalles: Not every video received will make it into la versión final, por muchas razones. But Mister Felipe will definitely make an effort to include as many as possible. Winners will be paid with a free CD and credit only, not with money.
Tips for shooting great video:
Use a tripod.
Make sure there is plenty of light on your subject, and not too much light behind them.
Don't do much zooming or panning (side-to-side movimiento de la cámera).
Feel free to film the rap or other sections separately--it doesn't need to be all one take. For example, you might film the rap with more of a close up/head shot, or just send a few seconds zoomed in on las rodillas. We're basically looking for lots of great 2-10 second clips here. But do make sure to run the camera for 5 seconds or so before and after each piece you film, so it doesn't get cut off.
¡Diviértete! Have fun! It will show!
